Excuses are the explanations we use to justify continuing in the same old habits. Many of the excuses you use have been with you since you were a very young child and they are so cemented into your unconsciousness that you actually have come to believe they are all true. . All excuses are in the mind.
“When you correct your mind, everything else will fall into place.” Lao-Tzu
Excuses are thoughts that tell you what you can’t do, how difficult something will be for you, that it will take too long or that you don’t have the luck or the ability to create the life you want. By applying awareness in your thinking habit, you correct your mind and allow more and better things to happen for you. This thinking reminds you that all things are possible.
In order to change these lifelong thinking habits, be willing to do what is takes to make such changes. Talk to yourself from the perspective of truly being willing to do whatever it takes rather than relying on the same old excuses that keep you from making those changes.
Adopt an “I’m willing” attitude.
“I can “
As you reflect on the year to date what excuses and how many excuses have you used this year?
Those tired old excuses are the work of your ego manipulating you to believe in your limitations and to live a life half-lived.
“When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.”
Wayne W. Dyer
